This was my first official Game Jam - I had a ton of fun, and frustration (Who hasn't?) working on it. I will keep this version as is, but will keep working on another version with all of the features I WANTED to add to this one. Thank you so much for checking out Deepest Duck, and Happy Creating!

Something about this game beings me back to Zelda 1 - I adore the music and design of the dungeons.
It evokes a great degree of claustrophobia, being lost in the dark with monsters, and I am really in love with the directional requirement for casting spells to light your way.
It took me a while to realize the enemies CAN be killed! Fun game, great job!
I don't think I've ever played a game like this before. The single frame movement was very unique! I liked it. :)
I am glad you enjoyed it. I had to cut out about 75% of what I wanted to do for this game due to time constraints of the Jam, but I am still pleased with how it turned out so far. I plan on working on this more as a "Post Jam" version, so keep an eye out ;)
Also: Some of the inspiration for this came from Final Fantasy Mystic Quest, and TaskMaker (An old Mac OS 7 game)
