New NPC

Crab

• Shore Crab - Found along the shores, these crabs will sometimes attack, sometimes wander, and sometimes stay put.
• Attack State - When close enough to player, will attempt a claw slash attack. 0.5 sec cooldown before crab can attack again.
• Chase State - Sometimes will chase after player. If chases after player, they will remember to chase.
• Idle State - If outside of the sight bubble, Crab will return to idle state.
• Mountain Crab - This is a mean little bugger. He is older than the other crabs, he will attack on sight. Removed for this update

Update to Trees

• Coconut Trees
  • Segmented to provide more versatility on spawning. Diverse, yet natural feel.
  • Ages slowly over time. Looking to provide a full life cycle when planting coconuts eventually.
  • Canopy changes to Grey as tree reaches End of Life.
  • Issues and Notes:
    • Currently much faster than final version.
    • Aging currently tied to Tree Node, ties up a few resources. Looking into optimizing this.
• Bamboo - Playing with custom number of segments when spawning.

General Fixes

• Coins should no longer spawn in water.
• Treasure now always spawns in a diggable tile.
• Intra-tile randomization updated for more randomness within the current tile, while preventing a grid feel.

Menus and UI Updates

• Play Menu
  • Resume - Returns you to the game.
  • Options - Change game settings and save to config. - get to menu by pressing (esc) key. 
  • Quit - Asks for confirmation. Either returns to Play Menu or exits game.
• Game Options - Currently allows:
  • Volume Adjustments: Master, Music, SFX.
  • Graphic/Gameplay: On/Off values for Ground Clutter, Advanced Coconut Trees, Advanced Bamboo.
  • Currently the Volume options start at 100%, and Advanced Trees/Bamboo are disabled.
• Saves on close.
• Health Status UI - Displays as a gauge. Depletes when attacked by crabs.

Game Over Screen

Xara can now be damaged and can die from being attacked too many times by crabs! Keep her healthy! Throw rocks (Spacebar) at crabs (aim with mouse).
